Prosthetic Hand 3D Printing
Want to get your students excited about science and making a difference in the world? This Helping Hand Project Event will introduce your students to prosthetic devices, 3D printing, and the maker movement. Students will see 3D printers at work printing the parts needed to create a prosthetic hand for a child in need and will get to hold a functioning prosthetic device. If desired, materials can be provided so that the class can get a chance to assemble these prosthetic devices themselves. This experience will place emphasis on the ability of students to make an impact and on spreading awareness.
Length varies on what activities you want to include, plan for the event to last a minimum of an hour.
