Toy Adaptation Workshop
Every year, thousands of children with physical disabilities are left without Christmas presents that they can play with. This Betabox Experience aims to solve that problem, while also creating a hands-on opportunity for participants to learn about electronics and problem solving in a hands-on way.
During this one day event you will hack apart and rebuild toys to make them accessible to those with physical needs. This will require soldering, drilling, testing, problem solving, and creativity.
After the event, all of the toys that are adapted by participants will be donated to families in need of them.
This experience used the Betabox electronics equipment. Participants will learn about soldering, tinning wires, and circuit boards.
An all day event.
